Recipe Ingredient

  • 500g yam beans
  • 200g dried Chinese mushroom stalks
  • 100g big head soy bean sprouts (tai tou nga)
  • 80g yok chok, rinsed
  • 80g tai tow choy, rinsed and sliced thickly
  • 50g red dates, seeded
  • 3 litres water


  1. Bring water to the boil.
  2. Add in all the ingredients and cook to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1½ - 2 hours.
  4. Strain the stock before use.
