Fancy breaking fast with an array of tantalising dishes while contributing to charity at the same time?

M.S. Garden Hotel Kuantan is having such a promotion at its Seri Suria Restaurant from now until July 4.

Its corporate and marketing communications assistant manager Noor Adzilah Abidin said the management would be donating RM1 from each diner to an orphanage as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.

“While breaking fast, diners will be entertained with nasyid performances by Huffaz Voice from the Pahang Maahad Tahfiz.

“Diners can also perform evening prayers after in Surau Al-Muiz led by a student of the religious school and pay tithes at a special counter,” she said.

Noor Adzilah said the culinary team led by executive chef Mohd Rashdan Abdul Rahman had come up with a buffet spread comprising local salads, pickles, meat, seafood, barbecue and carving station.

She said in addition, there would be Chinese, Indian and Western food corners, desserts, an assortment of hot and spicy dishes and free flow of selected drinks in five rotational daily menus.

“Diners can enjoy more than 100 festive dishes and delights specially created for this meaningful month,” she added.

For starters, appetisers include an assortment of kerabu and a healthy selection of garden greens, ulam and some spicy options such as sambal mangga, cincalok, sambal belacan, budu, sambal belimbing and sambal kicap.

Among the soups available are sup gear box, sup sum sum berempah, sup kambing berempah, sup ekor berempah and sup asam pedas ekor.

While retaining traditional elements, the chefs have added a touch of creativity to several time-honoured recipes such as rendang ayam nangka muda, kambing briyani, sotong sumbat pulut bersantan, kepak ayam Kadazan, rendang daging dendeng and nasi bukhari.

Other specialities to look out for are whole roasted lamb, selection of BBQ, nasi ayam, char kway teow, murtabak and satay.

The Buffet Ramadan dinner is priced at RM70 nett for adults and RM49 nett for children and is available from 7pm to 10.30pm.

In conjunction with the fasting month, a Ramadan room package (deluxe room) is on offer for RM198 nett, inclusive of a sahur or breakfast meal.
