FOR a good lunch in Klang, Premiere Hotel Klang is a good place to go.

Located in the heart of Bandar Bukit Tinggi Klang’s commercial district, The Buzz Cafe at the hotel is popular among locals, especially businessmen, for lunch.

The cafe, which opened for business in 2010, was closed for refurbishment and relaunched recently.

Executive chef William Teo, who has nearly 35 years of experience, said food served at the cafe only used fresh products and were made flavourful using natural ingredients.

“For example, we use fresh turmeric instead of the processed powder form,” he said.

Authentic: Sardine pizza is an authentic creation by chef Teo who learnt pizza making in Italy and has given it a local twist.

The cafe has a cosy ambience and is filled with natural light.

Many guests enjoy having their meals while seated by the windows, basking in the natural light.

The Buzz offers a wide array of Western and local fare.

Its weekday lunch buffets, express lunch sets and a la carte menu are perfect for business lunches.

Even the Italian pizzas are recommended.

Chef Teo’s speciality is a variety of hand-tossed thin crust pizza such as Spicy Sardine, Quattro Stagioni and Salmon with Feta Cheese, just to name a few.

The pizzas, as the rest of the chef’s creations, are made using fresh ingredients and herbs.

Delectable: The tender roasted duck.

The lunch buffet, available on weekdays, is a mix of local and Western dishes to cater to all tastes.

Local dishes include Ikan Berlada (peppered fish), Nyonya Chicken Curry, Beef Kurma, Sweet and Sour Chicken and the western dishes are Roasted Beef, assorted cold platter and many more.

One of the outstanding dishes is the Roasted Duckwith Plum Sauce. It is roasted to perfection and the meat is tender.

Although Oxtail Asam Pedas is not on the menu, guests can still ask for it.

The gravy has a nice balance of sour and spicy flavours but not overly spicy.

Apart from these, the buffet spread also includes laksa, rojak buah, salad bar and a colourful dessert bar.

The lunch buffet is available at RM55+ per person from noon to 2.30pm. Weekend high tea is also available at the same price from noon to 4pm.
