USHER in the Year of the Dra-gon at Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant at Palm Garden Hotel, Putrajaya.

For the first time, the Chinese culinary team of Palm Garden presents the Chinese New Year promotion with three set menus until Chap Goh Mei on Feb 6.

Customers can enjoy the set menus prepared by experienced executive sous Chef Sim Hoong Sam and his team.

First on the list is the Abundance Of Blessings menu, priced at RM688++ per table of 10 people.

This menu celebrates the festive season with an exclusive nine-course menu featuring Prosperity Combination Yee Sang with jellyfish as the starter.

It continues with Braised Assorted Seafood and Beancurd Soup, Roasted Crispy Chicken Cantonese Style and Steamed Red Mullet Fish with light soya sauce.

The menu is not complete without chef Sam’s Wok-fried Prawns with Homemade Chilli Sauce, Braised Mushroom with Beancurd Flower and Broccoli as well as the Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice with yam and assorted preserved meats.

The meal ends with a refreshing dessert of Chilled Sea Coconut and Snow Fungus with Lemon Juice and Deep-fried homemade ‘Nin Ko’ with Sweet Potato.

Apart from the Prosperity combination Yee Sang with salmon, the Abundance Of Wealth menu at RM788++ per table serves up deluxe combination platter and Shark’s Fin Creamy Soup with Sweet Pumpkin Paste.

This is followed by a line of BBQ combination (duck and chicken), Steamed Red Garoupa with light soya sauce and Wok-fried Prawns with Coconut Cracker and Golden Oats.

Braised Dried Oyster, Sea Moss, Mixed Mushroom with Seasonal Vegetables and Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice with yam and assorted preserved meat complete the main dishes.

For dessert, customers can enjoy the smooth red bean paste with “Tong Yuan” and deep fried “Nin Ko” with sweet potato.

The third menu — The Abundance Of Prosperity — is priced at RM988++ per table of 10 people.

It serves prosperity Yee sang with salmon and snow pear as starters.

This is followed by the deluxe hot and cold combination. It includes scallops, chicken, fish and sea octopus cooked in different styles using different methods to obtain the cold and hot combo.

Next on the list is the Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Dried Scallop and Crab Meat, and Roasted Crispy Duck with Chinese Herbs in Hoi Sin sweet sauce.

Those who prefer fish can try the lip-smacking Steamed Pomfret with Fungus, Golden Mushroom and Preserved Olives and the Wok-fried Prawns with Coconut Crackers and Golden Oats.

The line of main course comes to an end with the serving of Braised Dried Oyster, Sea Moss, Mixed Mushroom with Seasonal Vegetables and Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice with yam and assorted preversed meat.

Desserts served in Abundance Of Prosperity is the red bean paste with “Tong Yuan” and deep fried with “Nin Ko” with sweet potato.

The Chinese New Year set menus are available for lunch and dinner.
