WITH more than 200 dishes, diners will be treated to a sumptuous spread at Tonka Bean Cafe in Impiana Hotel KLCC.

With the theme “Delicious Dining Spread”, diners can expect Indonesian and local favourites such as Tempe Goreng Jawa, Pecal with Peanut Sauce, Ikan Bakar with Bumbu Spices, kepak and cencaru sumbat.

 

Impiana KLCC Hotel sous and banquet chef Ali Tuwin recommends the nasi briyani gam (chicken, mutton and beef) (top pic), a speciality of his that also has a personal story behind it.

“When I first came to the peninsula almost 20 years ago, I found the food here quite unique because there are so many spices and ingredients in one dish. The cuisine here is very strong and different from what we have at home,” said the Sabahan.

To make it extra mouth-watering, he paired it with Beef Nasi Briyani Gam.

There are ample desserts available for those with a sweet tooth, including 18 flavours of Baskin Robbins, a chocolate fountain and a variety of condiments and traditional Malay favourites.

For a refreshing after dinner treat, the chilled beverage area serves different drinks including soya bean, soya corn, sugar cane, orange juice, mango juice and air mata kucing.

Local fruits, including durian, mangosteen, rambutan, banana and jack fruit, are also available.

Diners will be entertained by a seven-piece traditional live band throughout the night to enhance the Raya ambience.

The Ramadan buffet at Tonka is priced at RM118++ for adults, while children between the ages of six and 12 are charged RM59++. Children below six eat for free. As a special offer, adult diners will be able to eat for RM108++ on the last three days of Ramadan.

The Ramadan buffet promotion is available until July 27, from 6.30pm and 10pm daily.

The hotel is also offering sahur meals to hotel guests at the price of RM33++ per person. The sahur set menu compromises of sup ekor/sup kambing/sup ayam, fried chicken with spices, vegetables, teh tarik, dates and fresh fruits. Sahur starts at 3.30am to 5.30am. Spacious prayer rooms are also available near the lobby and on level 1.
