Recipe Ingredient

  • 500gms green mango peeled and sliced
  • 11/2 tblsp salt
  • Sugar Syrup:
  • 250gms sugar
  • 1 cup water


  1. Combine mango and salt and marinate for 1 hour, stir occassionally to extract water from mango.
  2. Wash mango with boiled water and drain well. Leave to dry for 1 hour.
  3. Boil sugar and water and allow to cool.
  4. Pickle mango in glass jar and pour syrup over mango to cover completely.
  5. Pickle for 2 days before serving. Keep in the fridge.
  6. Note: chillies may be added in jar to spice up mango.
