Recipe Ingredient

  • 2 onions, finely shredded
  • 8-10 bird's eye chillies, finely diced
  • 1 red chilli, seeded and shredded
  • 2-3 kaffir lime leaves, finely shredded
  • 1 tbsp shredded wild ginger bud (bunga kantan)
  • Seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 limes, squeezed for juice


  1. Combine onions, bird's eye chillies and chilli in a big bowl. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside for 10 minutes. Mix in kaffir lime leaves and wild ginger bud.
  2. Toss well, then dish out and serve with any meat dish.
