Recipe Ingredient

  • 450g castor sugar
  • 2 litres water
  • 225ml full cream UHT milk
  • (A):
  • 200g to 250g toasted groundnuts
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 450ml water
  • Combine into a paste:
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • 5 to 7 tbsp water


  1. Put ingredients (A) in a liquidiser and blend until fine, then sieve. Bring water and sugar to a low simmering boil to dissolve sugar. Leave aside to cool.
  2. Combine groundnut mixture into the cooled syrup. Add in ingredients (B) and bring to a boil over a gentle heat. When it comes to a boil, turn off the fire and add the milk gradually. Stir well to mix, then dish out to serve hot.
