Recipe Ingredient

  • 40g butter
  • Ingredients (A)
  • 400g high-protein flour
  • 80g castor sugar
  • 1 tsp instant dried yeast
  • 250ml water
  • 20g milk powder
  • 6g salt
  • 1 egg
  • Glaze (lightly beaten)
  • 1 small egg
  • 1 tbsp fresh milk


  1. Combine ingredients (A) in a mixing bowl. Beat in butter until mixture turns soft and smooth. Cover and allow to rest for five minutes. Transfer dough onto a lightly floured table top and knead for 1-2 minutes. Dust with extra flour if the dough gets too sticky. Divide dough into 50g pieces.
  2. Roll each piece of dough into a ball and proof for 10 minutes. Brush the buns with egg glaze and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.
