Recipe Ingredient

  • 250g butter
  • 225g fine castor sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 4 eggs
  • 125g durian flesh, pureed
  • Sift:
  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 50g plain flour


  1. Preheat oven to 170 ºC. Grease a 20cm round cake tin. Cream butter, sugar and essence until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time and add durian puree gradually.
  2. Fold in sifted flours and mix well to blend. Pour batter into prepared tin and bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until cake is done when tested with a skewer.
