Recipe Ingredient

  • 150g minced beef (can replace with any preferred meat)
  • 250g pasta
  • 2 litres water
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp corn oil
  • 1 big onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, skin removed and diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • A dash of pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock or water


  1. Boil the water with the salt and 2 tsp oil. When boiling, slowly add in pasta. Maintain water on the boil and cook pasta for eight to 10 minutes. Drain immediately and add butter, mixing well. Divide into equal portions on individual plates to be served with sauce.
  2. Saute chopped big onion and garlic in the corn oil. Add in minced beef and stir well. Mix in the rest of the ingredients and slowly bring to a boil. Dish out and spread over ready pasta. Garnish with diced spring onion.
