Recipe Ingredient

  • 500g chicken fillet or thigh fillet
  • Seasoning:
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, pounded
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin (jintan putih)
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp ginger juice
  • Enough corn flour
  • Oil for deep frying


  1. Cut chicken fillet into 3cm pieces. Combine all seasoning ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir in chicken pieces and marinate for three to four hours or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. Toss chicken pieces in corn flour, shake off excess flour and deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown. Serve with dipping sauce.
