Recipe Ingredient

  • 300g boneless chicken thighs
  • Marinade
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely pounded
  • 4 tbsp Yuen Chun char siu sauce
  • A little red colouring (optional)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 cucumber, diced for garnishing


  1. Slice chicken into bite-sized pieces. Combine all marinade ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Put in chicken and mix well to marinate for several hours or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Thread chicken pieces in satay skewers. Baste with oil and barbecue or grill until meat is tender and fragrant.
  4. Serve with cucumber wedges.
