Recipe Ingredient

  • 150g ikan bilis, rinsed
  • 2 chicken carcasses, cleaned and chopped
  • 450g yam bean (sengkuang), peeled and cubed
  • 2½ litres water
  • Seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • ½ tsp sesame oil


  1. Blanch the chicken carcasses in boiling water. Remove and rinse well. Bring water to a boil and add ikan bilis, chicken carcasses and yam bean.
  2. Cook to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about an hour. Drain the stock and add seasoning.
