Recipe Ingredient

  • 2 to 3 extra large prawns
  • Pinch of salt
  • Dash of ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped cilipadi
  • 3 tbsp white wine


  1. Cut prawns lengthwise. Lightly sprinkle the cut side of the prawns with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a good quality stainless steel wok, add in garlic, cili padi and stir-fry till aromatic. Put in prawns and cover the wok with a lid. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes over low heat.
  3. Lift the lid briefly and add in wine; cover again and continue to cook for an extra 3 to 4 minutes until the gravy is almost dry. Sprinkle with ground black pepper. Dish up and serve immediately.
