Clean and chop chicken wings into two. Cut off the end wing tip.
Combine marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the chicken wings and toss until well combined. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for several hours.
Heat oil in a wok and deep-fry chicken wings till golden brown. Dish out and leave aside.
Heat a little sesame oil and add sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil then add the pre-fried chicken wings. Allow to simmer until sauce is reduced and chicken wings are well coated with the sauce. Dish out and serve immediately.
