Recipe Ingredient

  • 250g multigrain rice food
  • 480ml water
  • 2 pandan leaves, knotted
  • (A):
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 3cm piece cinnamon stick
  • 6 cloves
  • Seasoning:
  • 1 tsp chicken stock granules
  • 1/4 tsp sugar


  1. Bring water and pandan leaves to a boil in a pan. Add multigrain rice, ingredients (A) and seasoning.
  2. Cook rice over a moderate heat for 18-20 minutes. When water has evaporated and rice is cooked and tender, close the lid and let it stand for an extra 10 minutes before dishing out to serve with any curry of your choice.
