Pineapple Chutney
Ingredients
- 400g pineapplecubed
- 1tbsp tamarind (asam jawa),mixed into a paste with 3-4 tbsp water
Ground spices (combine):
- 2cloves garlic
- 1cm ginger
- 2tbsp chilli paste
- 2tbsp oil
- 1/2tsp mustard seeds
- 1sprig curry leaves
- 1/2 onionsliced thinly
Seasoning:
- 1tsp salt
- 1tbsp sugar or to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and fry ground spice ingredients for one to two minutes. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and onion and fry until fragrant. Add pineapple and tamarind juice. Stir in seasoning and bring to a simmering boil. Lower the heat and simmer until the gravy turns thick. Dish out and serve.
