Recipe Ingredient

  • 100g charsiew, finely chopped (you can buy it from the roast pork stall at most markets)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2½ tbsp water
  • Seasoning:
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce


  1. Beat eggs and water with a fork until just frothy. Strain the beaten egg mixture and add chopped charsiew and seasoning.
  2. Pour ingredients into a lightly wet shallow plate or bowl and steam over a medium heat for 18 to 20 minutes or until egg is cooked.
