  • 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • Some salt to sprinkle on the ribs
  • 500g pork ribs
  • 400ml water
  • Marinade:
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp five spice powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Some salt

Instructions

  1. Clean the ribs and season some salt on the surface
  2. Heat up the pan with some cooking oil and sear the ribs on both sides until caramelized and evenly browned
  3. Once the ribs are browned, put in the chopped garlic and stir fry until fragrant
  4. Once the garlics are fragrant, pour in the marinade and water and let it boil. Then put on the lid and let it simmer for 30mins on low heat (note: after 15mins, turn the sides of the ribs to continue simmer)
