CELEBRATE Christmas at the Palace of the Golden Horses’ Carousel International Coffee House with more than 50 festive dishes to suit every tastebud.

In following tradition, a carving station will be in place for the turkey, which will be served with cranberry sauce and another special sauce.

“We expect to serve three whole birds per session at the carving station,” said chef de Cuisine Muhamad Nasri.

The three sessions are the Christmas Eve buffet dinner, as well as the Christmas Day brunch and buffet dinner.

The 38-year-old chef Muhamad, who has been in the industry for more than 17 years, said the hotel had ordered 90 birds for the entire festive season.

“Guests are already placing their orders for the birds,” he said.

Palace of the Golden Horses’ turkeys are priced by the weight and size, which ranges between four and six kilogrammes.

Themed the Nutcracker, this year’s Christmas spread at the Carousel will include chef Muhamad’s famous Beef Wellington Wrapped in Pastry and Baked Medium Rare.

He urged patrons to give his
favourite dish a go.

“I’m sure beef eaters will love this dish as it is not only my favourite but my specialty as well,” he said.

Apart from beef and turkey, there will be Chicken Breast Stuffed with Broccoli Mousse to be served with Mushroom Stew.

Then there is the Oven-Baked Cod Fish, a signature dish at the Carousel, along with roast lamb and chef Muha-mad’s healthy risotto cooked with onion, butter and vegetables.

Before savouring the mains, get a taste of Carousel’s appetisers that will include fresh seafood.

Also to be served in small glasses are the Rolled Beef with Asparagus drizzled with citrus vinaigrette for a refreshing taste.

“We will also have a pasta station where our chefs will prepare your choice of pasta on the spot,” said chef Muhamad.

To end the meal with a bang,
Carousel sets out to impress with more than 40 desserts whipped up by its pastry chefs.

The desserts will range from traditional Chocolate Log Cakes, Mince Pies and bread pudding to gingerbread man-shaped chocolate cake and jelly.

“Our pastry chefs are working
round the clock to make this possible, including a wide selection of cookies,” he said.

The Christmas Eve buffet dinner is priced at RM90++ per adult, while the Christmas Day buffet dinner is priced at RM88++ and brunch is at RM68++.
