Recipe Ingredient

  • 60g castor sugar
  • 60ml balsamic vinegar
  • 60ml water
  • 3-4 basil leaves (optional)


  1. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan then bring to the boil, stirring. Reduce the heat and simmer half covered until mixture turns syrupy.
  2. Remove from the fire and leave aside to cool slightly. Discard the basil leaves before use.
