Recipe Ingredient

  • 150g butter (at room temperature)
  • 250g icing sugar
  • 1 tsp instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp cold milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp coffee essence


  1. Dissolve the instant coffee in the milk.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter until light and creamy, then gradually beat in icing sugar, adding a little of the coffee-flavoured milk.
  4. Add essences and continue to beat until light and fluffy.
