Recipe Description

Crispy batter suitable for deep-frying fish fillets and other favourite meats.

Recipe Ingredient

  • 3tbsp plain flour
  • 3tbsp cornflour
  • 1tsp rice flour
  • 1/4tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 egg (lightly beaten)
  • 1/4tsp pepper
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 1tbsp oil
  • 120ml or enough water


  1. Combine all the batter ingredients in a mixing bowl. Leave aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Dip your fish slices in the batter and deep-fry until golden brown.
