Recipe Ingredient

  • 200g fillet of beef, coarsely minced
  • 60g fresh white button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped spring onion
  • 5 pieces tortillas
  • Iceberg lettuce, whole leaves and shredded
  • Shredded carrot
  • For Seasoning:
  • ½ tsp ginger juice
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp light soy sauce
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornflour


  1. Put minced meat into a deep bowl and add seasoning. Mix well to combine. Add spring onion.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick saucepan. Sweat the white mushrooms for a minute. Add the beef and fry briskly until meat is cooked through. Dish out and set aside.
  3. Microwave each piece of tortilla on Medium High for 10-15 seconds. Remove and place on a flat plate.
  4. Layer with a whole leaf of iceberg lettuce and 1-2 tablespoons of beef mixture. Add a little shredded lettuce and carrot. Wrap neatly and serve immediately.
