Recipe Ingredient

  • 1/2 a chicken, skinned and chopped into chunky pieces.
  • 50g white fungus (shuet yee)
  • 10g sweet and bitter almond mixture
  • 12-15 pieces gingko nuts
  • 1.5 litres hot water
  • Seasoning:
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp sugar or to taste


  1. Soak snow fungus in warm water for 30 minutes then trim off the stems and rinse well. Drain and set aside.
  2. Combine all ingredients into a double-boiler. Double-boil for 1½ - 2 hours. Add seasoning to taste then dish out and serve immediately.
