Recipe Ingredient

  • 11/2 cup plain flour
  • 1/2tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  1. Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Then stir in brown sugar, egg, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix till smooth.
  4. Add in dry ingredients into the mixture and mix well.
  5. Add walnut and chocolate chips and mix. Then scoop with a teaspoon and drop two inches apart onto a greased tray.
  6. Bake for 180 degrees Celcius for 10minutes. Cool for about 1 minute before removing to a wire rack.
  7. Note: Once cool, keep cookies in an air tight container. It will last up to three months.
