Recipe Ingredient

  • 4-6 slices wholemeal bread
  • 1 hardboiled egg, sliced
  • 1/2 cup steamed chicken meat, shredded (buy a piece steamed and cooled drumstick from a Hainanese chicken rice stall, if preferred)
  • Several slices cucumber
  • Several slices tomato


  1. Add a dash of pepper to the chicken. Arrange the shredded chicken on one slice of bread and top with tomato, cucumber and egg slices.
  2. Place another slice of bread on top and pack the prepared slices of sandwich in an airtight container. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
